How to Make the Most of Laylat ul Qadr (the Night of Power)?

Laylat-ul-Qadr (The night of power): Its immense benefits

Laylat ul Qadr – The Night of Power

Muslims can attain piety by utilizing some immense opportunities. Exclusive only to them! One such opportunity is Laylat ul Qadr or Shab e Qadr. Please utilize its immense benefits by spending the night in the worship. And remembrance of Allah Azwajal.

Besides even probably Laylat ul Qadr, tell me how many nights or even days do we waste uselessly?

We have become profligate hedonists of the highest order! We waste our days and nights heedlessly. And certainly aimlessly. But do you know that there is a night, Laylat-ul-Qadr or Shab-e-Qadr (The Night of Power)? That is more powerful than a thousand months of prayers! One of the odd nights of the last days of the month of Ramadan falls during the time. When Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) stated that this night would occur. Many Islamic scholars advise to look or search for it in all the ten nights of Ramadan. One day ahead or late, Ramadan is observed differently in the same country, including India.

Another important Sunnah [Practice of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him)] – Itikaf

“The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to practice Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan till he died and then his wives used to practice Itikaf after him.” [Hadith No. 2026, Book of Itikaf, Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 3]. Muslims should practice this Sunnah more often. Itikaf is a kind of spiritual retreat. Wherein Muslims spend the last days and nights of Ramadan in a Mosque. It is an Arabic word meaning – ‘to isolate oneself and to stick or adhere to something.’

Pray, pray, and pray during Lalytal ul Qadr

Whether it be in the Mosque or one’s home, please pray to the utmost. And please Allah Subahanahu Ta’aala. Please remember that the decision to send a person after his/her death to heaven or hell. Is solely dependent upon Allah. And one can please Allah in so many ways. Least being not breaking anyone’s heart knowingly. With our words or actions! Without any heed, they are recklessly doing this unfortunately. During Laylat-ul-Qadr, one can pray Salah/Namaaz, read the Holy Quran. And do lots of dhikr (remembrance of Allah). And pray for your brothers and sisters. Who might be in distress, struggle, and whatnot!
