Make Ramadan 1445 your best (ever) by Allah’s grace!

Strive hard to defeat Satan – trust me, it is not very difficult!

Ramadan is the time of fasting and amplifying your good deeds! You might have been fasting since your childhood. Or you might have just started or thought you might begin fasting. It does not matter. All that matters is your firm Niyyah (intention). And then let Allah take over the reins of your soul. Try doing it. In sha Allah you will succeed for sure.

The holy month of fasting and giving Zakat

Ramadan is not just the month of fasting but also giving Zakat. Zakat is the purification of your wealth. Now remember, one can offer Zakat any time of the year. However, most people prefer to offer Zakat in this month for the simple reason that the rewards for good deeds are amplified during this month! The minimum amount of Zakat is 2.5% or 1/40 of a Muslim’s total savings and wealth.

This Ramadan, please think about the poor, less fortunate, destitute and needy

Most of us live our lives without facing many difficulties. However, not many of us are so fortunate enough! There are millions of people out there who face poverty, war, and calamities – both natural and man-made (the latter are occurring in more numbers unfortunately due to human decadence!), etc. So, during your Suhoors/Sehris and Iftars, think about the less fortunate people and offer them help however you can. Besides Zakat, Fitra, Fidyah, and Kaffarah can be offered. Please remember me and my family in your precious duas (prayers). I need them badly! JazakAllah Khayr (May Allah reward you abundantly) – Aameen, Summa Aaamen.

Cheat list for this Ramadan 1445 Hijri

  • Making the intention for fasting the entire month
  • Ensuring that you calculate the Zakat at the earliest and distribute it to the deserving. Please remember that your poor relatives are the first who deserve your Zakat the most.
  • Please remember to perform the Taraweeh/Tarawhih prayers after the Ishaan (the fifth and last obligatory prayer of the day) prayer without fail.
  • Make sure you keep multiple alarms when you go to sleep in the night. Also, inform your relatives and friends to wake you up for Suhoor. An informal network like this will be helpful for one another in racing toward good.
  • Make a noble intention to complete reading the entire Quran at least once during this month. There are a total of 6,236 verses. And a total of 30 Juz (chapters) or 114 Surahs. It is not a big deal if you read around 20 pages per day. It is definitely doable!
  • Do not forget that the reward for every good deed during Ramadan is amplified by 70 times or even more if Allah wills! And do not forget about the last ten nights of Ramadan when you have to search for Laylatul Qadr/Shab e Qadr, the prayers during that night being equivalent to a thousand months (83 years)!
  • And please do not forget this humble brother of yours and his family. He is dire need of your precious duas and right guidance from Allah Subahanahu Ta’aala. Please make dua for me and my family without fail! JazakAllah Khayr (may Allah reward you abundantly – Aameen, Summa aameen).
