Mosques are the best places of solace, right?
Mosques are the houses of the Almighty Allah. But unfortunately, these seem to be seriously under threat today. Not mostly by the actions of any others, but Muslims themselves! Well, let me stop beating around the bush.
First of all, why does any Muslim go to a Mosque?
The Mosque is the only place where a Muslim goes to spend a few minutes (yes, literally, unless it is the month of Ramadan, when Muslims spend exceptionally more time than in other months!) to worship the one and only Almighty Allah.
But one thing annoys me, and probably several others too!
I am talking about the sudden ringing of a cell phone/mobile phone while praying. Or the announcement of a payment on PhonePe or some other app! A Muslim needs to pray with the utmost khushu [“(خشوع) is an Arabic term referring to humility, profound focus, and inner stillness of the heart during Islamic prayers (salah) and spiritual life.”].
So, the few private moments with our Creator in Mosques, too, are under threat
From extremely mundane worldly things. And this despite the warning flyers in many Mosques. Asking to keep one’s mobile phone on silent or on vibrate mode! When we are unable to pay heed to even these simple things. That not only disturbs the mobile phone owner. But nearly all the Musallis (persons who pray), especially if the Mosque is small!
Not just this, but several other things are taking place in the houses of Allah (Mosques)
Among the signs of Judgement Day are that the Mosques will gradually descend into the hands of corrupt and incompetent Muslims. Frequent quarrels, raised voices, and, most alarmingly, allegations of corruption regarding donations received by the Mosques are increasingly occurring in several Mosques.
Solutions to all the above-listed problems are beyond the purview of this article.
So, I will stick to my main topic. I am talking about cell phone/mobile phone jammers. Seriously, these seem to be the best solutions to maintain the sanctity and peace in Mosques. These can be deployed at least until the congregational prayers, including the Taraweeh prayers, during the holy month of Ramadan.
