Eid Al-Adha – Sacrifice of Son demanded by Allah Azwajal!
Eid Al-Adha is the ultimate festival of sacrifice. Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismail (peace be upon them), demonstrated unflinching sincerity and faith in Allah. Allah asked for the sacrifice of his son, Ismail, and Ibrahim readily agreed to it. Even Ismail told his father that he would remain steadfast.
Ismail was replaced with a ram!
Prophet Ibrahim sacrificed a ram that Allah replaced in place of Prophet Ismail. And this tradition of sacrificing a ram continues to this day. Mind you, the ram had horns!
Trust me, Allah is free from all needs!
Please remember your relatives, friends, and most of all, poor people. Do remember non-Muslims (especially your neighbors and friends) while distributing the Qurbani meat.
Stay away from trouble this Eid and always PERIOD
Spread love and peace among mankind, not any hatred! Get up early in the morning, attend the Fajr (dawn) congregational prayer. Perform ghusl (full ablution), wear new or at least clean clothes, apply attar, and if possible, perform the prayer in an Eidgah.
The Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) used to go for the prayer on one road/way and return via another road/way. Perform the Eid congregational prayer with khushoo (khushu). And greet one another with “Taqabbal allahu minna wa minkum” (May Allah accept [good deeds] from you and us, or “May Allah accept [this worship] from you and us”).
Once again, a happy festival and celebration to all of you. Please remember me and my family in your precious duas.
