The Five Salah (Namaz) - 1. Fajr (Dawn) 2. Dhuhr (Afternoon) 3. Asr (Late Afternoon) 4. Maghrib (After Sunset) 5. Isha (Night)

The Salah (Namaz) are prayed by Male Muslims along with other worshippers of Almighty Allah in the Mosque (Masjid). The Mosque is the place most liked by Allah and the Souk/Sooq (Market) is the place most disliked by Allah.

Fajr (Dawn) Salah (Namaz)

The first to offer Fajr Salah was Prophet Adam (peace be upon him). The Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said that whoever prays Fajr is under the protection of Allah. He also said that if people knew the importance of praying Fajr and Isha in congregation, they would come to the mosque even crawling! And he also said that these two Salahs are the most difficult ones for hypocrites! Music increases hypocrisy.

Dhuhr (Afternoon) Salah (Namaz)

The first to offer Dhuhr was Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). "During the Zuhr hour, the gates of heaven are opened . So, it is important to do good deeds at this time and offering Salah is the most important at that time. Allah Almighty showers His blessings on those who offer Zuhr prayers at the time."

Asr (late afternoon) Salah (Namaz)

The first to offer four rakats of Asr was Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him). "There is so much importance on offering Asr prayer in hadith Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “He who performs Salat (prayers) before the rising of the sun and before its setting, will not enter the Hell.” (Muslim)" Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever misses the `Asr prayer (intentionally) then it is as if he lost his family and property."

Maghrib (after sunset) Salah (Namaz)

The first to offer Maghrib was Prophet Dawood (peace be upon him). He actually intended to perform four rakats but he was unable to proceed with the fourth rakat due to contrition. Almighty Allah showers his blessings and rewards on the one who performs Maghrib. And gives success in wealth and family.

Isha (Night) Salah (Namaz)

There are two reports regarding who prayed the four rakats of Isha first. According to the first report, it was Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) and according to the second one, it was our beloved Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). "The last prayer of the day is Isha prayer. Its time starts when the time of Maghrib Salah ends and remains until midnight. Isha Salah is hard to execute so it also follows with vast rewards from the Almighty Allah. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “ Whoever offers Isha salah in Jama’ah (congregation) it is as though he spent half the night in worship. And whoever offers fajr salah in jama’ah it is as though he spent the entire night in worship .” (Muslim)"
